We're so excited to announce this year's event highlights including the NUTTY SCIENTISTS Castaway Show at 1:30pm, SKY HUNTERS IN FLIGHT Raptor Show at 3:00pm, a CATCH & RELEASE FISHING TANK with the Federation of Dutchess County Fish & Game Clubs, Inc all day long, live music with TILLY FOSTER, food by THE DOG HOUSE... just to name a few!

Don't miss this celebration of conservation, ecology and nature play on I Love My Park Day featuring hands-on learning, adventure play, kids activities, demonstrations, nature exploration workshops by Mid Hudson Trout Unlimited, Ti Yogi Bowmen, Crazy Over Art On Tour, Scouts of America, FlowerRoots&STEM, The Wetland Trust Inc, Blanding Turtle Research Group, Dutchess County Soil & Water Conservation District, Dutchess County Division of of Solid Waste Management, Appalachian Trail Conservancy, LaGrange CAC and more!

You’ll find freshly stocked Spring Activity Books and activity sheets including a Woodlands Scavenger Hunt, Spring Nature Walking Prompts, and Observing Insects sheets for the creepy crawlies you might find out and about!

If you've purchased your 2024 Freedom Lake Season Pass and haven't yet picked up your key tags, they are NOW available for pick up in the Recreation Office, downstairs at LaGrange Town Hall, 120 Stringham Road, Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm. Please make every effort to pick up key tags before the lake opens for weekends on Saturday, 5/25. Help us help you by shortening your wait at the lake!

If you have had a tag in prior seasons, your tag was reactivated following purchase of your 2024 season pass. You will NOT receive a new key tag. Lost key tag fee is $5 per key tag. Replacement tags must be purchased through the Recreation Office.

Sponsored by Federation of Dutchess County Fish and Game Clubs, Inc. and @NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, along with Mid Hudson Trout Unlimited, families of all sizes and ages are welcome! Some poles and bait provided by NYSDEC. Complimentary food and drinks provided by Federation of Dutchess County Fish and Game Clubs, Inc.
NO REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.

Join LaGrange Parks & Recreation as we partner with LaGrange Conservation Advisory Council for this special full moon hike in Freedom Park on Tuesday, 4/23, at 8:30pm! The April moon will be the Pink Moon.

This hike is for ages 10+. Please bring a flashlight or headlamp, and dress according to weather conditions.

Registration is required at www.lagrangeparksandrec.com and is open to LaGrange residents and eligible non-residents*.

*Includes residents from the following border TOWNS: Beekman, East Fishkill, Pleasant Valley, Poughkeepsie, Union Vale, and Wappinger.

We will host another Freedom Park After Dark Full Moon Hike for the Harvest Moon on Tuesday, 9/17, 7:30pm.

Sponsored by @LaGrange, NY Sunrise Rotary along with Royal Carting Service Co & Welsh Sanitation and Dutchess County Resource Recovery Agency, a great Earth Day activity to join your friends, neighbors, and co-workers in sprucing up the community by picking up litter on LaGrange roads. Groups and individuals welcome!

Participants will meet at LaGrange Town Hall and receive road assignments as well as bags, vests, and pickers to be returned by noon at Town Hall where LaGrange, NY Sunrise Rotary will provide hot dogs, chips, and water.

A wonderful team building event or way to earn community service hours!

LaGrange Basketball Camp is open to LaGrange resid

LaGrange Basketball Camp is open to LaGrange residents NOW and opens to eligible non-residents* tomorrow, 4/16, 9am, at www.lagrangeparksandrec.com!

Head Coach Don Markoe leads individualized instruction, competitions, and games during this outdoor camp at the Stringham Park basketball courts. Campers will receive a camp t-shirt! It's a day of eco-fun that aligns perfectly with I Love My Park Day - or did we plan it that way? We’re inviting organizations, businesses, non-profits, clubs, groups, or teachers and individuals that are conservation, ecology, nature, trails, or environment focused to partner with us on Saturday, May 4th, from 1-4pm in Freedom Park to make this year's event even bigger and better than last year!

Enjoy live music with Tilly Foster, Pops Place Food Truck, Federation of Dutchess County Fish & Games Club, Mid Hudson Trout Unlimited, Appalachian Trail Conservancy, Nutty Scientists Hudson Valley, Sky Hunters, FlowersRoots&Stems, The Wetland Trust, Inc Blanding’s turtle Research Group, LaGrange Conservation Advisory Council... just to name a few and the list is growing!
