MAPS AND LOCATION

FREEDOM PARK
Freedom Park is the largest and most extensive park belonging to the town of LaGrange. With its expansive 120 acres, Freedom Park is the proud home of LaGrange Day Camp, Red Cross Swim Lessons, Rockers Swim Team, and nature programming in the new Nature Building.
The following parkโs attractions require lake entry and fees apply: swimming lake, beach, swim lanes, and charcoal grills.
Freedom Lake is a well-maintained, sand-beach with spring-fed swimming lake, in which residents and *eligible non-residents are permitted to swim under the supervision of Red Cross trained lifeguards. Complete with a dock, diving board, water slides, sand volleyball, dino dig excavation and ping pong, there is always something to do at the beach!
Season lake passes and daily admission are available to those eligible. The lake is easily accessible and there are many shaded areas to take a break from the sun. The grounds, bathrooms and showers are all well-maintained and there is also a concession stand.
There is a set of eight 25-yard lap lanes that enables the town to support a swim team called the Freedom Lake Rockers. This team is made up of boys and girls of all swim levels from ages 5-18. New team members are always welcome!
Besides the lake, Freedom Park offers a wide range of recreational activities such as stream fishing, hiking trails, gag pit, and multipurpose field.
With its expansive pavilion and a boasting band shell, this park is also the home of many LaGrange festivals and events such a Muddy Hands Festival, LaGrange Community Day, Fall Festival, summer concerts and movies in the park and more!
Pavilions are available for rental, also making it a perfect spot for any size celebration for the community’s use.
Each summer, a day camp is offered by the town at Freedom Park which offers a traditional camp experience of days filled with swimming, boating, arts, sports, nature exploration, entertainers and more!
At Freedom Park, the Little Woods Nature Play Trail is a true stand out and is the first of its kind in Dutchess County! This unique trail is a magical place where imaginations soar and curiosity takes center stage. Find fairy houses, search for hidden birds and animals, learn about butterflies, build a teepee, sit in our outdoor classroom, play music on our jumbo xylophone, be a pirate in a ship and so much more!
Enjoy nature program in the new Nature Building, a very special place atop the hill. In addition to snowshoe rentals and our backpack discover program stay tuned as we develop programs for this exciting new space.
The Town of LaGrange Parks and Recreation is committed to enriching the quality of life for residents of all ages while preserving it for future generations. New features, upgrades and events are always in the works so be sure to stay in touch for more at Freedom Park!
