Deputy town Clerk (F/T) LaGrange Residency Required
The Town Clerk is now seeking to fill the position of Full-Time Deputy Town Clerk. Resumes can be emailed to the Town Clerk at oreillyrao@lagrangeny.gov. The Town Clerk’s office is the repository for official Town records, the offices issues dog licenses, hunting & fishing licenses, marriage licenses, birth, marriage and death transcripts, genealogical searches, handicap parking permits, FOIL requests, and offers notary services. We also serve as the recording secretary for all Town Board meetings. Comfortable with legal processes for public hearings and local laws. Knowledge of Excel and Word preferred. Notary Public is a plus.
Deputy Receiver of Taxes (F/T) CLOSED
The Tax Receiver is seeking resumes for the position of Deputy Tax Receiver. The position is Full-Time, Monday through Friday 8:30am to 4:00pm. Individuals must be able to multi-task, work well under pressure, perform moderately complex account keeping and clerical tasks which include: receive, record and deposit all monies received for tax and utility billing; Prepare bank deposits; Utilize various software programs and office equipment in recording the disposition of monies received; Prepare daily, monthly, quarterly, annual reports; Interface with the public; Prepare tax bills and receipts for mailing, as well as other tasks to assist the Receiver of Taxes with her duties. Salary range is $25 – $29 an hour, includes benefits.

Highway Committee (LaGrange residency required)
The Town of LaGrange is seeking a candidate interested in becoming a member of the Highway Committee. This committee meets as needed to discuss highway related issues that may arrise or require committee input.
All meetings are held at the Highway Department, 130 Stringham Road, LaGrangeville, NY 12540.
